New forum policy - No more society wars and "he said, she said"

Right. As announced before, we have had enough of the childish complaining and fingerpointing that seems to be such a neccessity for some of the people on this forum. That stops right now.

In order to ensure you can still keep doing that, we have set up a second site at www.afterworldreality.com. The afterworldreality site will not be moderated, so you can say whatever it is you want to say there. The site uses different forum software, so we have no way to link the two user databases and you will have to set up a new account there.

Being the helpful people that we are, we created two categories for you there: "Complaining about other societies", and "Bickering and arguing". Should the activity on the forum warrant it, we will consider adding some additional categories like "Boohoo, I got PKd", "Koombaya THIS!", and the ever popular "My e-peen is bigger than yours, and here's my proof!".

In short, if you want to troll, flame, fight, argue, namecall, insult, abuse, bully, or generally misbehave, go to the new site. All normal, on-topic discussions related to the game AfterWorld, and the positive social interactions that form the backbone of a Multiplayer game can be held here.

Those of our users who seem to have trouble figuring out which forum it is they are on when they post will be shown the way (read: if you flame, troll, etc, your account on this forum will be permanently terminated).

Nice addition, But i refuse to sign up to another site just to have arguements continue.. I'd rather sort things in game.. then argue to the point were its just not needed.

On another note, someones already signed up to that site under my name impersonating me? (i know that site is not moderated but surely if someone were impersonating someone else it would not be fare... example.. (No offence here) Andy see's theres a new forum but doesnt see the point of joining just to argue.. an decided not to join, someone see's he hasnt an signs up... that lets the person openly impersonate him e.g a person could do scamming etc... but its not really andy its just someone pretending to be him? see i dont want to see that happen... So if theres any chance you can check the persons IP an mine an see its not me, I'd appreciate it. As its not good to go try impersonate someone else.

anyways i'd appreciate it if it could be looked into, sent a forum pm on this forum too as i dont want to join the other site, or have my name used. Posted here as its relevant to topic about the new forum.

Again just to clear up to aw community.. the person on the other site is not me, and if that person chooses to try ruin my name, i wont hesitate in having it dealt with.

Isn't this just sanctioning this behavior, just under some other sites name?
Why not them set up their own AfterworldBitchingForTheSakeOfIt site? Then they are liable for the postings!

We had the domainname already, and installig that other forum software cost nothing more than a little bit of my time. But if that ensures all the pitiful bickering and arguing gets removed from this site, that's more than worth the time spent. We had no plans with the domain name, so this at least puts it to some form of use, as there seems to be a select group who feels the need to argue, they can do so.

As long as it is not here, I really don't care.



Also, SFF, I am looking into the matter.


Update: I removed the account created in your name, as well as some others that were created by the same person. Said person has received a PM on this forum and will have some explaining to do...
