I'll be the first to tell you, I'm computer stupid. I'm trying to put together an Alienware laptop so I can play AW and EU while away from home on work. Would some of you be so kind as to tell me if this should be enough to do what I'm asking and to give me some advice as to what I should change? I thank you in advance. :)

Processor: Intel Core i7 740QM Quad Core Processor, 1.73GHz (2.93GHz Turbo Mode, 6M Cache

Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit Operating System

    8GB Dual Channel Memory (2x 4GB DDR3)

    1.5GB GDDR5 65W NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M Video Card

    Wireless 1520 802.11n Half Mini-Card

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

That thing is beyond AW. Better get yourself some new computer games because that laptop can take them all on :D

Honestly, it's more for EU than AW, hehe. Although I play AW much more now than EU, it would be nice to have something that runs EU that is portable. I'm losing out on a lot of things while not being able to play it. Thank you both for your input. I only now have to decide if I will get it while it's on sale. :)

    Hello Mutley,
its a good rig, CPU and Video card both mid-range.
The CPU isnt a super power house, but for a laptop would be very good.
The 460 cards are good, i run some and have no problems with AW or EU.
Like i say, both mid range componants that will do the job nicely for you, now, the only other factor when deciding on the makeup of the machine is how much you want to future proof it, and that equates to dollars, as everything does.
You could consider you could probably play EU and AW for at least 3-5 years with those componants, other games may be another question.

    Have fun :)
