Screenshot contest - 2011

So it's time for AfterWorld's photographers to get out their cameras and use them to catch the brightest and most spectacular scenery and moments of life in our post-apocalyptic world.

Details of the contest

The first category is the "Basic screenshot".
This category is only for screenshots with no editing. You are only allowed to convert files to JPG format.

The second category is the "Edited screenshot".
This category is for screenshots that have been processed in any way with some kind of specialized program (e.g. Photoshop). The main limitation is that the work must present elements that were shot in the game. Otherwise, you have complete creative freedom - this may be a screenshot with a ridiculous situation, beautiful scenery, to illustrate quotations about AfterWorld, comics, etc. It will be evaluated by both quality and aesthetic components.

You can participate directly in both categories and have a chance at both of the prizes.

Here are my entries. The edited ones are pretty lame because I waited way too long to work on them, lol. Well that and the fact that I've never done much with image editors beyond basic stuff like cropping, re-sizing, and brightness adjustments.

the contest rules could be interpreted: "if there is at least one element on the picture, that is taken from AW, then it's OK"
i kinda doubt this was what they really wanted. probably they wanted to say "if every element on your picture is from AW, then it's OK"

if you are advertising a game, you want material taken from that game
i mean, in your ad you can't use the image of Predator.

although.. after the contest i'm not sure they knew what they were doing anyway..

Sounds like you got some very sour grapes there dear, tsk tsk.. lol oh well I'm sure devs know what they were doing and its only right a competition that was made for AW, be about AW only... With that being said too... Each Compeition Entrant gave their permission to devs to use images which ever way they see fit... Same as those that have given AW Fanbook Page & AW page for facebook permission no one else... so its pretty stupid an lame to add it to your own photobucket account trying to say its yours too... So maybe stop looking like a sad looser... People already reported you on tech forum for tryin to copy Cuey's style on the contest thread they also reported you for trying to openly bait us with the title off the image... It's funny that you cant be happy for the people that won, You have tried to insinuate the devs didnt know what they were doing "although.. after the contest i'm not sure they knew what they were doing anyway.." lol now stop being sad fifth... You didnt win the first place edited like you had hoped Cuey did... Better luck Next time.

P.S already Publically posted Cuey's image on my photobucket Page, and its already known on forums that its Cuey's image so you might aswell remove it... The longer you keep trying to use his image the more pathetic you look.. I know you are jealous he won, But really the competition was meant to bring community spirit now sour grapes or sad loosers out the woodwork... Try have some honour aye? Better luck next time.
